The Assemblies is an annual gathering of family and friends in Philadelphia.

Founded in 1748, The Assemblies is the oldest continuing annual subscription ball in the United States.

In the early years, there were nine gatherings throughout the winter and spring seasons, hence the plural nomenclature. Since the 20^th century, there has been one ball each year.
